If the Vatican were your grandfather, you'd have him put away

Really, I mean picture the Pope standing on the porch in a ratty bathrobe and mismatch slippers ranting that somebody who disagrees with their beliefs or tradition is just as bad as a child rapist.  If you take a look at this article which summarizes a recent revision of internal laws, that's what the Vatican is saying: Woman priests are just as bad as pedophile priests.

You may say that's hyperbole but I think it's much more of a metaphor.  A hyperbole would be me saying that it's as if the Pope and his Vatican advisors have rats in their heads that are eating away at their brains. While splendidly over the top and visual, it's highly unlikely that's really what's happening...though it would explain a lot.

Just put yourself in this context - you're at a party and your friend introduces you to 2 people.

One tells you that they disagree with you on a matter of welfare for illegal immigrants.  You feel extremely strongly about this issue and you completely disagree with what the person is saying.

The other person says that they abuse children and they are not joking or lying.

So - which one is a worse person?
